May 21, 2008 Dear Colleague, As president of the Emeritus Division of Delaware Association of School Administrators (DASA), I am writing to urge you to become a member or renew your membership in DASA this year. I also encourage you to participate with us in the Emeritus Division to promote the initiatives of our statewide leadership organization. As an Emeritus Member you will receive all DASA publications, be eligible to serve on certain DASA committees, and be invited to attend all DASA events. Of utmost importance is maintaining contact with the many friends we made while actively serving as administrators. We meet once a year exclusive as an Emeritus Division to elect our officers and conduct business related to our division. Your President represents the Emeritus Division on the DASA Board of Directors. We hope that you will not only enroll as a member but that you will work actively with your fellow retirees on issues of common concern. DASA's membership year is from July 1 to June 30. Annual dues are $25.00. (For the first year of retirement there is no fee.) Of this amount, $20.00 is retained by DASA for mailings and other services and $5.00 goes to the treasury of the Division. You also have the option of purchasing an Emeritus Life Membership. For a one-time payment of $250.00 you will be enrolled for life as an Emeritus Division member. Enclosed is an enrollment form.
