In Memory of Paul Carlson

Paul G. Carlson, DASA's Executive Director for the past eleven years, died peacefully at home Tuesday, October 26, 2004. Paul was a strong representative of the more than 500 school administrators in Delaware and an avid advocate of what was best for the students in our state. He was considered a person of high integrity who was able to influence the legislative process to ensure that the children of this state received the best educational advantages possible. Throughout his entire career, they were his priority.

Paul was in the Delaware educational system for over thirty-eight years, first as a teacher and a principal before joining the DASA organization. His reputation for effective leadership is a legacy of which he and his family can be very proud. DASA is stronger for having had Paul as Director, and he will be greatly missed.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, November 3, at Reformation Lutheran Church in Milford, DE. In lieu of flowers, it was suggests that donations be made to the Paul G.
